Flute Fandango
2010
Breaking the
Record for Music Education
REGISTER TODAY to guarantee t-shirt
and pre-event music!
Friday,
August 6
Oaks Amusement Park, Portland, Oregon
Calling all flutes! We need everyone to participate in the attempt to break the Guinness
Book World Record for the Largest Flute Ensemble! We are shooting for 2,010 players of all ages and performance levels.
As long as you can play, you can participate. Music is being composed by Phyllis Louke, Greater Portland Flute Society
president to accommodate beginners-advanced as well as parts for piccolo, flute, alto, bass, and contra-bass. Music is sent
once your registration is received. If you haven't received your music, but you believe to be registered,
send e-mail to Denise Westby immediately.
This fun, unique, event will benefit the Music Education Assistance Project,
Inc. that assists financially in-need school-aged instrumentalists in obtaining private lessons and sends professional musicians
into the schools for clinics and performances. Your $25 donation with your registration form helps the charity, gets
YOU a cool Fandango t-shirt, and makes you a participant in breaking a world record. Super cool!!!
Additionally, Oaks Park will give all participants who
have their Fandango t-shirts on a reduced ride bracelet for only $8.75.
Come join the fun and do a good thing by registering today.
Pre-registration received by July 31 will be guaranteed
a t-shirt and music.
Registration is available on the day of
the event, but no guarantee on t-shirt availability.
